Valbuena 5° 2021, a stand out vintage, is a prestigious, high-scoring wine from Vega Sicilia in Ribera del Duero, composed of 96% Tempranillo and 4% Merlot. It has elegance, balance, and precision, offering notes of dark fruit, cedar, and graphite. Exceptionally fine, it will hold for 20 years.

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. We advise you to obtain a postal receipt or send the items back via recorded delivery.

Description

Vega Sicilia is widely regarded as Spain’s most prestigious wine estate and the benchmark for Ribera del Duero. Founded in 1864, the property introduced Bordeaux varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec to the region, alongside Spain’s signature grape, Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). This pioneering approach laid the foundation for a style that combines local character with international sophistication.

The flagship wines are Unico and Unico Reserva Especial - the former is aged for 10 years before release while the latter is a blend of only the finest vintages. Valbuena 5 is the estate's 'entry level' wine, a five year aged Tempranillo. Alongside Vega Sicilia, the same team also manage Bodegas Alion in Ribera del Duero and Bodegas Pintia in Toro.
