Description

Vincent Latour Bourgogne Cote d'Or is a 100% Chardonnay wine from a 0.57-hectare parcel of land in Meursault (Malpoirier and Dressole), with clay-limestone soil. The grapes are all manually harvested and then lightly pressed, before being aged for 12 months in 10% new demi-muids, foudre and oak barrels, and no lees stirring.

About the Producer

Since 1792, the Latour family has been producing one of the world's greatest white wines: Meursault. Since taking over his father’s estate in 1998, Vincent Latour’s wines have been highly praised both in Burgundy and further afield. Vincent's wife, Cécile, joined them in 2004, and in 2009 she opened a charming and very comfortable 3 épis Gîte de France gîte with an exceptional view over the Murisaltien vineyards. A new cellar has just been constructed which houses Vincent’s interesting mix of oak casks, as well as to further improve the quality of the wines produced and optimize the team's work.

Tasting Notes

Bourgogne Cote d'Or is a golden Chardonnay which has an earthy, fresh, citrussy nose with floral hints, which evokes feelings of warmth, abundance and a connection with nature. On the palate this wine has a rich texture, and evolves with flavours of ripe stone fruits. It is a powerful and full bodied wine, with a delicate finish.

How To Enjoy

This wine is best paired with chicken Gaston-Gérard, shellfish, white pudding with mustard sauce.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.
