Description

In Medieval times, these stocks were used to punish the local townsfolk who had over imbibed. As a cheeky nod to the town’s history, Woodstock has named its flagship wine, the ‘Stocks’ Shiraz.

Grape Varieties: 95% Grenache, 5% Tempranillo.

Farming Practices: Sustainable / minimal spray & vegan friendly.

Tasting Notes

Bright colour and lifted aromas of cherries, plums and raspberries. Tempranillo adds dried spice notes to the nose and savoury tannins to the palate.

Lively and expressive on both nose and palate, this Grenache Tempranillo blend captures true McLaren Vale characters; silky structure with subtle complexities making it a great food companion.

Medium body in style with a long lingering finish and classic Grenache texture. Cellaring will also be rewarded for 4 to 5 years as the secondary characters evolve in bottle. Enjoy with a selection of Spanish tapas or a nice smoked duck on the BBQ.
