Diplomatico Selección de Familia is a distinguished Venezuelan rum that exemplifies the distillery's commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. Aged for up to 12 years in a combination of American white oak, ex-bourbon, and ex-sherry casks, this rum offers a rich and complex profile. The nose reveals aromas of honeyed forest fruits, gooey toffee, raisins, and a touch of date, complemented by soft vanilla and a hint of orange peel. On the palate, it presents creamy, juicy plum set against a backdrop of coconut, with cooked oak spice and brandy notes, followed by rounded pepper and bold toffee sweetness. The finish is smooth, with thick notes of demerara sugar and a well-rounded, long-lasting finish with a hint of pipe tobacco.
