Domaine du Gros Noré, run by Alain Pascal, is situated in the prestigious commune of La Cadière d’Azur and is now regarded as one of the finest in Bandol. The estate was founded in 1997, though the vineyards had been in family hands for decades, previously supplying fruit to Château de Pibarnon. With organic certification since 2020 and a hands-off approach in the cellar (no fining, filtration, or excessive sulfur), Pascal has developed a reputation for powerful, soulful wines that reflect both the site and tradition. Though known for long-lived reds and benchmark rosés, the domaine also produces this rare white from just half a hectare of old vines.
The Bandol Blanc is a blend of Ugni Blanc and Clairette, vinified entirely in stainless steel to preserve its purity. Medium bodied plump textured white with floral ripe melon, greengage and pear notes, accented with wild herbs and a long mineral finish.
