Orders placed before 1pm each day Monday – Friday will be despatched the same day as long as the stock is in immediate availability. For some items, we may need to get stock from our stores which could delay despatch by 1 day (2 days in some situations)
Items in stock will be despatched on the same day and delivered via courier. This will usually be delivered on the following working day but please allow one extra day if this is not possible. Deliveries to Scotland & non UK mainland will usually be delivered in 2-3 working days.
We charge a flat fee of £6.90 for delivery if your order is under 20kg and £10 inc-VAT if the order is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £100 (inc VAT).
We aim to ship items within the same working day but always within 2 working days, subject to the order being placed before 1pm and subject to the availability of stock. *If stock is not available at our warehouse and needs to come back from one of our stores before we ship to you, your order may take up to 5 working days to be shipped – whether that is to your delivery address or to one of our stores.

Vigneron Philippe Brisebarre started working with his father at the age of 16. The cellar is above the town of Vouvray and all but 7 of the domaine's 25 hectares lie just adjacent. His cellar, like many others in the region, is a stone cave cut straight into a cliff of tuffeau, the soft yellow sandstone famous in the Loire Valley. The cave dates back to the 1500s, when it was originally a quarry then becoming a storage facility for ice, before the days of electricity. storing ice for refrigeration More recently it has been the cellar for the Brisebarre family domaine for several generations, from which he offers a wonderful array of older vintages in immaculate condition.
The distinctive local yellow tuffeau limestone and moderate climate provides the perfect environment for growing Chenin Blanc. Philippe works on a lutte raisonée basis in the vineyards, making treatments only when absolutely necessary.
The grapes are harvested late, usually in October. The pickers pass through the vineyard several times to pick the grapes at the optimum level of ripeness, with around 50% botrytis. The wine is aged oak barrels in the natural cellars, before extended ageing in bottle for many years. These wines are truly some of the great treasures of the Loire Valley.
