The Dalmore Luminary No.3 – Aged 17 Years is a limited-edition single malt crafted in collaboration with architect Ben Dobbin of Foster + Partners, V&A Dundee, and The Dalmore’s award-winning Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass, with the guidance of Master Distiller Richard Paterson OBE. Limited to just 20,000 bottles, this release is a testament to The Dalmore’s mastery of multi-cask maturation.
Initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, it is then finished in an exceptional selection of seven cask types, including vintage and aged Calvados, rare Matusalem and Apostoles sherries, and distinguished red wine casks from Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Aromas of orchard fruits, Madagascan vanilla, and rosewater open to a palate rich in butterscotch, Seville orange, cacao, and warming spice. The finish lingers with brioche, ripe blackberry, cassia bark, and dried apricot. Encased in a bespoke presentation box, this release reflects a refined fusion of whisky artistry and contemporary design.
