Description

Located on the historic Fonthill Estate in southwest Wiltshire, Witchmark Distillery is one of England’s largest-capacity distilleries, blending scale with sustainability. Certified B-Corp in March 2025, the distillery is rooted in environmental responsibility and community values, partnering with local organisations that reflect its mission for a more sustainable future.

It sources barley from a regenerative local farm and powers production with solar energy and bio-liquid propane from eco-fuel processes. Innovative heat recovery systems minimise energy waste, while spent grains and botanicals are repurposed through anaerobic digestion to generate renewable energy. Even the packaging is mindful, the bottles are made from 100% recycled glass.

Tasting Notes

Wiltshire Gin is a refined blend of vibrant citrus, soft floral notes, and warming spices. Juniper anchors the profile, lifted by zesty lime and grapefruit. Lavender, jasmine, and orange blossom add fragrant depth, while ginger and basil bring a savoury warmth. A touch of sloe lends subtle sweetness, creating a smooth, layered finish.

Aromas of fresh blossom and citrus invite the senses, leading to a palate that is crisp, herbaceous, and delicately spiced. The finish is floral and lasting, with hints of citrus and earthy complexity.

How To Enjoy

For a serve that elevates its botanical nuance, pair Wiltshire Gin with elderflower tonic and garnish with fresh basil or a twist of grapefruit peel. Alternatively, explore it in floral-forward cocktails, such as a Jasmine Collins or a Lavender Southside, for a sophisticated twist on gin classics.
