Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Riesling Auslese I.G.K
The Zilliken family traces its wine growing traditions back to 1742. The early generations toiled in Saarburg and Ockfen, but it was Royal Prussian Forest Superintendent Ferdinand Geltz (1851 – 1925) who laid the groundwork for what would become one of the grandest family-owned estates anywhere on the Saar and Mosel.

The jewel in Zilliken’s crown is their holding of vines in the famous steep, mineral-rich Rausch vineyard. This exceptional sweet wine is a very limited “Goldkapsel” release, made only in the best years when the botrytis conditions are at their very best.
This rarity is nearly 20 years old and right at its peak with a glorious array of honeyed ripe stonefruit notes allied to hints of toast, apple pie shot through with vibrant lime marmalade
