About the Producer

This wine hails from El Peral in the Valle de Uco, a high-quality winegrowing area in Mendoza best known for its world-class Malbecs. The conditions here are ideal for Semillon to thrive, with warm days, cool nights and exceptional levels of UV exposure that ensure maximum phenolic ripeness in the grapes. The vineyards from which the grapes for this wine are sourced are around 1200 metres above sea level, ensuring a high diurnal temperature range and thus an additional freshness in the wine. In the cellar, the wine is vinified with indigenous yeasts, adding to its complexity. The wine is matured in non-toasted French oak barriques with a 500-litre capacity, contributing a creamy mouthfeel and hints of butterscotch to the finished wine.

Tasting Notes

This is an extraordinarily complex expression of the Semillon grape, with aromas of mushroom, honey, freshly buttered toast, lime, lemon peel and peach, and a rich yet mineral palate with additional flavours of summer hay and tarte au citron. Try this with sushi – it is the perfect match for nigiri.
