For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us.

Description

Carlshamns Flaggpunsch dates back to the 18th century, when trade with East India brought arrack from Batavia.

Carlshamns Flaggpunsch is made according to an original 19th century recipe and has a rich, fresh, full-bodied arrack character with balanced sweetness.

The Swedes invented the punsch, and are also the biggest consumer of it, consuming large amounts from the 1700’s until the mid-1900’s. This was because the punsch was launched about the same time as hembränningen (moonshine) was prohibited. The drink was not associated with gender or class - everyone could drink punsch. There were many punsch brands created and that differed with innovative names such as Phone-punsch, Household-punsch, Cavalry-punsch and even Sport-punsch and Car-punsch.

The most important ingredient and what also gives punsch its distinctive character is arrack. The arrack used as the base for Carlshamns Flaggpunsch is called ‘Batavia Arrack’ and comes only from the Island of Java, Indonesia. It is distilled from sugarcane and fermented red rice, then rested in large teak wooden vats.

Tasting Notes: Carlshamns Flaggpunsch has a distinct aniseed sweetness, and works well in a variety of cocktails.
