The company we know today is the result of a visionary man, Don Jose de Jesus Hernandez. His inspirational zeal for perfection resulted in a range of distinctive tasting tequilas that are a renowned part of La Familia Centinela.
Don Pepe passed away in 2008, but the company was handed down to his son Pepe Jr. Hernández and his daughters Sandra Hernández and Grace Hernández. Centinela means “Sentinel” as in sentinel, the watch (Guard) and Cabrito (small goat).
Tasting Note: Smooth and light on the palate with notes of cinnamon, floral anise, plum, walnut, cooked agave and oak.
Awards: San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition 2010 - Bronze
