Description

Paolo Manzone is one of the leading producers of Barolo. Prior to purchasing and renovating his property in Serralunga, Paolo Manzone spent many years as a highly respected wine consultant. The focus now is on the underrated cru Meriame where the family of Paolo's wife Luisella have had vineyards for generations but had previously sold the fruit until Paolo decided to release wines under the family name. Today, this collaboration has raised the profile of the Meriame cru, and Paolo's wines have won widespread recognition. His wines are traditional in style; structured and complex.

About the Producer

The Barbera grapes come from vineyards located in Sinio, within the heart of the Piedmont region. The average age of the vines is 30 years and they are grown on hillsides with a south/southeast exposure on clay and limestone soils.

A green harvest is done to achieve a perfect ripeness. The grapes are sorted twice; once in the vineyards and a second time in the cellar. A traditional fermentation occurs then the wine is aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels of 350 litres.

Tasting Notes

Complex, rich, powerful dark cherries with meaty spices and subtle notes of pepper and nutmeg; a deep, impressive expression of Barbera.

Delivery

Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £125 (inc VAT).

For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.

For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.
