Artemis Karamolegos Terra Nera Red

Artemis Karamolegos are making some of the finest wines on the unique, volcanic Greek island of Santorini. This is lovely light-bodied red made from the local Mandilaria grape, sourced from three vineyards with an average age of 60 years. Mainly aged in stainless steel tank to preserve freshness, with a small proportion in barrel to add texture and complexity and bottled under screwcap. Very pale ruby in the glass with a lifted nose of rosehip, pomegranate and redcurrant, hints of smoke and sea air, plus a touch of spice. Light, silky and refreshing, this is a great wine for warm weather and would even be good served slightly chilled. Perfect with fatty fish such as tuna, charcuterie or grilled vegetables.
