Lowlands single malt whiskies

Single malt scotch whiskies are distilled in Scotland at one distillery and contain only malted barley as the base grain. Lowland single malts are typically lighter in body and flavour than other scotch whiskies, this can be attributed by the use of a third distillation in some distilleries. The Lowlands is a ever growing category that is further defining itself with every new whisky, look out for new releases from exciting new distilleries like Daftmill, Lochlea and Lindores Abbey.
