The world of single malt scotch can be a confusing and daunting one for the uninitiated. With so many different brands, styles, and regions, where does one even begin? One good place to start is with the different scotch-producing regions of Scotland. Each region has its own distinct characteristics that give its scotches a unique flavour profile. 

Campbeltown is a small town located on the Kintyre peninsula in southwest Scotland. Once a bustling centre of the scotch industry, Campbeltown is now home to only three scotch distilleries. Despite its small size, the Campbeltown region has a long and rich history of scotch production.
