Barbera d'Alba Cerretta Giacomo Conterno 2016

This single-vineyard Barbera from legendary Piemonte producer Giacomo Conterno is as good as it gets. Aged two years in giant old oak barrels, this is one of the most age-worthy and brilliant examples of this underrated grape, with poised dark berry fruits, a complex ferrous note, hints of espresso, structured, sinewy tannins and great length with flavours that continually evolve with air.
