Bonpland Suave Falernum Spiced Rum Liqueur
In 1799, the French physician and natural scientist, Aimé Bonpland, embarked on an epoch-making journey of discovery through America, together with Alexander von Humboldt, known as the German Columbus. Bonpland’s notes and discoveries are to thank for the thousands of new plant species and animal genera.
Bonpland, who later tended Napoleon’s imperial gardens and taught as a professor in Argentina, summarised his findings in literary form. His drive for new discoveries in both the old and the new world, makes Aimé Bonpland the namesake of a rum that connects the greatest treasures of distant distilleries, with the artistry of old German craftsmanship.
Tasting Notes: This spiced rum liqueur is refined with late harvest wine grapes, exotic spices, regional herbs and fruits. Combava, lemon verbena, cloves, ginger, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, almond and kola nut define this classic 19th century Caribbean cocktail ingredient, now given a modern interpretation by Bonpland’s Master Blender.
