Cartron has been a family business since 1882, with strong roots in the town of Nuits-Saint-Georges at the heart of Burgundy’s cru vineyards. The soil of this region has been producing high quality fruit for centuries, which for have been used in the production of Burgundy wines, or fruits to produce juices, liqueurs and fruit brandies.
Also called Yerba Mate or Jesuits’ Tea, the Mate Tea selected by Joseph Cartron, has stimulating virtues. It comes from the frontiers of Brazil and Argentina from shrubs planted by the Indian Guaranis.
Tasting Note: The notes, of a pleasant vegetal softness, are mentholated with a good aromatic freshness. The finishing touch is a subtle and light smoky feeling.
In the mouth: the first wave is suave, round and velvety. The finale is tannic whilst the length in mouth is hot and spicy.
