D. Ulrich Vermouth Umberto Rosso Superiore was first made in 1854 from a recipe by Dr Domenico Ulrich and is now produced by Marolo who revived production of the historic brand from Torino. An elegant Vermouth with vibrant balmy notes of cinchona and hyssop.
First made in 1854 from a recipe by Dr Domenico Ulrich, and it is now produced by the Marolo Distillery which is fulfilling its dream of reviving production of the historic brand from Torino. Thanks to a masterly mix of wines from Piemonte with herbaceous and spicy botanicals, the result is an elegant Vermouth with rich and vibrant balmy notes of cinchona and hyssop. It is precisely the natural feature of the formula which gives it’s unique and unmistakable character. A Superiore designation is respecting particular rules: eg minimum alcohol content of 17%, at least 5 botanicals grown in Piemonte (not only the wormwood like for the other vermouth di Torino) and a minimum of 75% wine used from Piemonte.
