Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve 2019

The Manetti family has owned Fontodi since 1968 whilst Giovanni Manetti has run the property since 1980. His eye for detail and meticulous approach as raised the quality level at Fontodi and is now recognised as an iconic name in Tuscany. The 90 hectares of vineyards, 90% being Sangiovese, are situated in the Golden Shell or ‘Conca d’Oro, a prime position within Panzano, within the Chianti Classico region. The area known is renowned for its quality viticulture, specifically the high altitude, marly soils and high diurnal temperature range.  The vineyards are now certified organic and Bio dynamic principles are followed to ensure the finest quality grapes. Flaccianello della pieve  is the top wine of the estate year on year.
