The Gruber Siblings Ewald, Maria and Christian run this superb medium-sized organic estate in the village of Röschitz, situated in northern Weinviertel on the slopes of Manhartsberg. The Weinviertal region lies an hour Northwest of Vienna. Principally gravel, sand and loess soils characterize the regions, however in Röschitz there is also a high proportion of granite. Gruner Veltliner forms 50% of their plantings, with Riesling second, followed by a variety of different grapes.
The Grubers produce a range of immaculately made well-priced wines, which offer great varietal character while reflecting the varied terroirs on their local area
The Reipersberg vineyard is situated on granite from which the wines derive their typical mineral character. The south slope was formed as a terrace and the vines are among the oldest of the village, at up to 60 years old
The wine is crisp and mineral with enticing notes of grapefruit, mint, white peach and lemon zest, with a mouthwatering stony finish
