Loch Lomond 2010 12 Year Old Amathus Exclusive Single Cask 45th Anniversary Selection

This is a fine example of Loch Lomond, having been aged for 11 years in an ex-bourbon cask with a further 12 months in an ex-oloroso sherry barrel to add depth and complexity. It is an exceptional single cask bottled exclusively in 2023 to mark Amathus' 45th anniversary. With an ABV of 56.2% this packs a serious flavour punch. On the nose we are getting apricots and tinned peaches, honeyed malt cereal and a lick of cacao and vanilla. The palate is rich and dense with orange oils, buttery short bread biscuit and it has a long raisined finish. Add a drop of water to release some of its hidden florals.
