Rives is a 100% Spanish owned family company, established by Don Augusto Haupold, a German consul in Malaga and visionary entrepreneur. Gin Rives has been produced in El Puerto de Santa Maria since 1880, with extreme refinement and care, respecting the original recipe, which distinguishes its clean dry taste.
In 1976 they built a new modern distillery in El Palmar de Santa María in the province of Cádiz, with 30 metre high column stills, two large 100 year old John Dore copper pot stills, which are used for the distillation of the botanicals and a reverse osmosis water treatment plant.
Rives London Dry, distilled to the London Dry style, was the first gin produced by Rives.
Tasting Notes: The nose is smooth, clean, subtle and elegant. On the palate the alcohol blends perfectly and the gin reveals a multitude of nuances; aromatic and with a fresh finish thanks to the citrus.
