Rives Sloe Gin
Rives is a 100% Spanish family owned company, established by Don Augusto Haupold, a German consul in Malaga and visionary entrepreneur. Gin Rives has been produced in El Puerto de Santa Maria since 1880, with extreme refinement and care, respecting the original recipe, which distinguishes its clean dry taste.
In 1976 they built a new modern distillery in El Palmar de Santa María in the province of Cádiz, with 30 metre high column stills, two large 100 year old John Dore copper pot stills and a reverse osmosis water treatment plant.
Tasting Notes: Crafted to an authentic recipe and using 135 years of spirit making tradition; take only selected Sloe berries soaked in gin to produce a dark ruby coloured liqueur. Fragrant sloe and juniper notes with a little spirit on the nose, Off-dry, crisp medicinal berry flavours permeate the palate leaving a lingering tangy fresh finish of Sloes.
